Police: Stranger Attempts to Lure Teen into Car in Fairfield

FAIRFIELD — A stranger attempted to lure a teen into his car on Tuesday morning, according to the Fairfield Police Department.

A 16-year-old girl was walking northbound on Dover Avenue near Tabor Avenue when a dark gray, four-door sedan slowed int he road next to her, police said.

The man spoke to the girl and tried to lure her into his car. She told him to leave her alone and kept walking.

The man drove away and then returned two more times, making similar attempts to convince her to get into his car, police said. She refused. The man eventually gave up and drove away on northbound Dover Avenue.

The man was described as black, about 25 years old with very short dark hair, brown eyes and a bog nose. He may have tattoos on his arm.
