The 19th Annual Sacramento Arts Festival is returning to Sacramento this weekend and Martina is outside checking out some of the items you buy.

The festival, unlike many other fairs, is strictly juried with exhibitors selected for the originality and quality of their work. Festival visitors have the exciting opportunity to meet and talk with these talented artists and craftspeople about how they make their unique items, with many of them working on pieces in real-time at the show.

Strolling through the festival, attendees will see a vast selection of extraordinary work, including 17 ceramic artists, 18 woodworkers, 42 painters, 12 sculptors and a number of handmade wearable and accessory creators. Every category of fine art and contemporary craft -- including drawings, printmaking, photography, decorative fiber, leather, metal, stone, and 2- and 3-dimensional mixed media -- is thoroughly represented by a variety of artists. Shoppers will find spectacular works of art and craft in all price ranges for themselves, their homes, and as one-of-a-kind holiday gifts.
