Yuba County Sheriff’s Department Investigating Crash, Shooting

YUBA COUNTY — The Yuba County Sheriff’s Department is investigating reports of a crash and shooting in Olivehurst on Thursday night.

The sheriff’s department originally responded to a report of vehicle versus motorcycle crash on Feather River Boulevard about 9:35 p.m.

The occupants of the vehicle involved in the crash called 911 to report the crash.

Following the crash, the caller said her son got out of the car and was being  shot at by the person on the motorcycle.

When a deputy arrived on scene, the deputy called out that shots were fired.

It is unknown if the shooting was an officer-involved shooting.

One person was transported to the hospital. It is unknown if they were a gunshot victim or injured in the crash.

No deputies were injured.
