Sheriffs Investigating Deadly Car Crash in Roseville

ROSEVILLE -- Placer County sheriffs are investigating a deadly car crash in Roseville.

The incident happened on Industrial Blvd. near Blue Oaks Blvd. around 3:17 a.m.

Officers attempted to perform a traffic stop on a vehicle for a missing front license plate. It is reported that the driver took off leading the officer on a chase.

As the officer got closer, the driver whipped around and switched direction to go south on Industrial Blvd.

Soon after, the driver crashed into a ditch causing the vehicle to catch fire. At least one person was trapped in the vehicle.

Both the driver and passenger died in the crash.

Authorities are not letting traffic through Industrial up to about a mile east of Blue Oaks Blvd.

Trains are also being stopped in that area.
