CHARLOTTE HALL, Maryland — A beaver in Maryland was caught on camera Monday browsing through a dollar store.

According to the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office, the beaver wandered the aisles and browsed Christmas trees.

The “suspect,” as the sheriff’s office put it, was caught by animal control, and released back into the wild.

Since photos of the beaver were posted Wednesday afternoon, the sheriff’s office’s post about the incident had gotten more than 2,100 shares.
