Man Killed by Train in Modesto, Police Investigating

MODESTO — Police are investigating the death of a man who was hit by a train Tuesday in Modesto.

On 6:31 p.m. the man was struck by a Union Pacific train heading northbound near K and 8th Street, according to Justin Jacobs of the Union Pacific Railroad.

No one else was injured.

The incidents leading up to the man’s death and his identity are unknown.
