UPDATE: Voluntary Evacuation Orders Canceled for Rio Linda

UPDATE: All voluntary evacuation orders in Rio Linda have been canceled.


RIO LINDA — Parts of Rio Linda near Dry Creek were¬†under voluntary evacuation Tuesday evening. Based on the river level data, it is predicted Dry Creek will exceed capacity between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Those orders were canceled Wednesday afternoon at 12:30 p.m.

According to Sacramento County, priority streets include Cherry Lane, Curve Bridge and Sixth Street.

Area residents are advised to take necessary precautions with valuables, such as moving them to higher ground within their homes.

Residents outside of the notification area along the creek may also see flooding and are welcome to evacuate ahead of official notices.
