Snow, Slick Roads Slow Travel in Sierra

KINGVALE -- Thursday's storm caused several crashes up Interstate 80 in the Sierra.

The California Highway Patrol said drivers are going too fast and being careless, causing them to lose control.

Caltrans had to close several different parts of I-80 throughout the day because of crashes, heavily congested traffic and snowy roads.

Chain control was put into effect at Kingvale.
