LAKE BERRYESSA -- Two people were killed Monday when a small plane crashed at Lake Berryessa, according to the Napa County Sheriff's Office.

The exact cause of the crash was not immediately known, but the FAA and the NTSB were investigating.

Aerial video from the site showed the wreckage of the plane partially in the water.

The two people have been identified as 55-year-old Jon Karkow, the pilot, and 41-year-old Cagri Sever, the passenger. Both were employees of ICON Aircraft of Vacaville.

The small, two-seat aircraft that crashed was an ICON A5 Amphibious Light Sport Aircraft. The ICON A5s have been a common sight over Lake Berryessa recently.
