Pay close attention to physical symptoms when handling stress. Are you experiencing headaches, fatigue, or is it difficult to sleep?

It's important to take time for yourself on top of giving back to others. Lower your expectations to make things easier and eliminate unnecessary to-do's.

Set a budget for everything, including travel, food, gifts and decorations.

Most importantly, Van Horn-Gatlin says family should be a top priority.
