Man Loses Arm after Being Hit by Train in Stockton

STOCKTON — Stockton police report a man was in critical condition Saturday after he was hit by a train.

The pedestrian was struck by the train on South San Joaquin Street near East Taylor Street around 1 p.m.

The impact severed the man’s left arm and he was hospitalized.

The Stockton Police Department believes the man may have been trying to jump onto the moving train.

Police have not identified the pedestrian. No further details surrounding the incident have been reported.
