I have successfully remained off-camera for my entire career, but TV viewers and web readers have seen my work. I have always been the one who wants to know exactly what is going on; at age 13 I took notes while watching the evenings news so I could report back to my family at dinner, whether or not they wanted to know what was going on. I feel so lucky to have a job where I get to find out what is happening, then report it to thousands of people.

I have really soaked up the sun these last few years in California after growing up in Colorado, graduating from Northwestern University (Go 'Cats!), then producing news content at TV stations in Spokane, Milwaukee and Salt Lake City.

On weekends, you can find me up early running as I train for my next race, or cheering on my alma mater.

I go to the farmers' market every weekend to meet my neighbors and meet the people who grow the food I eat. I also frequent local businesses and restaurants – I think their hard work and dedication are evident in their products.

    SACRAMENTO- A gas leak downtown Sacramento has forced light rail trains to stop running as crews respond. The gas leak is near 12th and C Streets. Sacramento Police officers are helping direct traffic in the area. Crews were out clearing sewer lines, when they hit the gas line. PG&E says it was tricky finding this leak to fix it.
