• Follow me on:

I have successfully remained off-camera for my entire career, but TV viewers and web readers have seen my work. I have always been the one who wants to know exactly what is going on; at age 13 I took notes while watching the evenings news so I could report back to my family at dinner, whether or not they wanted to know what was going on. I feel so lucky to have a job where I get to find out what is happening, then report it to thousands of people.

I have really soaked up the sun these last few years in California after growing up in Colorado, graduating from Northwestern University (Go 'Cats!), then producing news content at TV stations in Spokane, Milwaukee and Salt Lake City.

On weekends, you can find me up early running as I train for my next race, or cheering on my alma mater.

I’m known around the newsroom for...

I like the color purple, I have collected so many purple items over the years they kind of overwhelm my desk.

What keeps me going

Definitely need my coffee. I feel like my job provides a public service; that responsibility keeps me going on long days at work.

I give back to my community by...

I go to the farmers' market every weekend to meet my neighbors and meet the people who grow the food I eat. I also frequent local businesses and restaurants – I think their hard work and dedication are evident in their products.

Why FOX40?

Who doesn't love California's weather? Plus, I love working for a company that encourages staying in contact with viewers on multiple platforms: web, tablet, mobile, facebook, twitter, Google+, Pinterest, etc.

If I had free time, I would...

Read more books. I'd also like to expand my knitting skills beyond the basics.
