CITRUS HEIGHTS–

Family and friends are mourning the loss of 52 year old Jack Swaim after he was found dead just outside of his Citrus Heights home Saturday morning.

Police say Swaim was struck with an unknown object.

While police did not say why he was targeted, but neighbors believe it was just young people looking to rob Swaim and others in the area.

Just twelve hours earlier, and less than a quarter like away, a man was found shot in his car inside a McDonald’s parking lot.

Police say both cases had nothing to do with each other. They are following active leads on Swaim’s case.

Police also said there was nothing unusual about the object he was hit with they are just withholding that information as they question witnesses.
