STOCKTON–

Authorities have arrested 32-year-old Michelle Rangel in connection to a suspicious Monday morning fire at a triplex.

Five people had to be rescued, with the fire spreading to a nearby duplex. The home is located along Bancroft Way off of Estate Drive.

The fire was said to have caused major damage, with authorities deeming it was the result of arson.

Police identified Rangel as the suspect. Officers caught up to her along Ponce De Leon Avenue off of N Lower Sacramento Road and arrested her.

STOCKTON–

Five people were rescued after a triplex along Bancroft Way off of Estate Drive went up in flames Monday morning.

The fire engulfed the triplex and spread to a neighboring duplex before being put out.

Authorities have called the fire suspicious, with a person of interest identified.

According to witnesses at the scene, the person is not in custody at this time.
