The 3-year-old boy who was hit and killed by a car yesterday has been identified, along with his alleged killer.

Stockton Police have identified Aushua McDuff-Brown, 22, as the woman who ran over 3-year-old Ruben Ramirez outside Madison Market around 3:45pm Monday.

According to police, McDuff-Brown was having an argument with another woman outside the market when she got in her car to allegedly run over the woman but instead hit Ramirez, pinning him against the wall of the building.

Ramirez’s aunt tells FOX40 the little boy’s mother saw the whole incident happen in front of her and screamed, “You’re squishing my baby!” The aunt also said that the reason her sister-in-law was at the market was to buy Ramirez a bag of chips because, “He was being a good boy that day.” The aunt said the two had just gotten out of the car when the incident happened, and Ramirez was playing on his scooter.

Paramedics tried to save Ramirez but his injuries were too severe.

The family is devastated, but what makes the situation even harder is that they don’t have enough money for Ramirez’s funeral. They are asking anyone for any donations to help.
