A man was arrested Monday afternoon after he allegedly solicited a minor for sex in a grocery store parking lot.

Juventino Zaragoza, 44, approached a 14-year-old girl sitting in her parents’ car, according to police. The girl’s mother was inside the Lucky’s grocery store shopping.

Zaragoza allegedly reached inside the car and touched the girl, then offered her money in exchange for sex.

Police say the girl told her parents what had happened, who, in turn, reported it to the police.

Officers were able to get Zaragoza to meet the girl over the phone. They were to meet at the Lucky’s parking lot for sex in exchange for $50, police say.

Zaragoza came to the parking lot and called the girl. Officers detained Zaragoza, who was then identified by the girl as the man that touched her earlier.

Zaragoza was booked into the Solano County Jail and charged with lewd act on a child, arranging to meet a minor for engaging in certain lewd and lascivious behavior and annoying or molesting a child.
