Sacramento County sheriff’s deputies received a call about rims being stolen in a South Sacramento neighborhood near Sunnyslope Drive and Southwood Way Tuesday morning.

The suspects got in their car and took off when the deputies arrived, which led to a short pursuit.

A perimeter was set up and a search began for the suspects.

A K9 officer found one suspect, who deputies said is a 25-year-old active parole and was released early as part of AB 109.

The search continued for the second suspect but he was not found. Deputies said they will try and identify the second suspect.
