Surveillance footage caught the whole crash on camera. The aftermath of the crash is shown here.

A 34-year-old Carmichael man was arrested late Friday night after driving his pickup truck into the Kay Bee Liquor store along Fair Oaks Boulevard.

No one was seriously hurt during the crash, but the clerk inside the store at the time was driven to the hospital to be checked out.

The crash knocked down the wall, bringing down shelves full of liquor. Robert Ring – the driver of the truck – then fled the scene, but witnesses were able to give police the car’s license plate number. Ring was later arrested at his Carmichael home.

Ring now faces felony DUI, driving with a blood-alcohol level over the legal limit, and felony hit-and-run.
