Friends and family fight back tears as they describe little Henry Perez Rocha, who is now in the hospital fighting to survive.

“The smile and the happiness and now he’s not there it’s not him,” said the boy’s aunt Candice Perez.

Henry and his brother Juan were crossing an intersection on their way to school when they were hit by a car.

The driver involved was arrested for suspicion of DUI.

“This is a prime example of what could happen anytime people do things like this. An innocent child is now in critical condition,” said Perez.

Classmates put together a card for Henry letting him know how much he is loved and missed.

Family say the boys’ parents haven’t left his side.

Now as they wait for Henry’s life to turn around, they say prayer is what’s getting them through it all.

“Right now it’s in the lords hands to do what they have to do,” said Perez.

On Saturday, family and friends will host a car wash to help raise funds for the boys at Skycrest elementary school.

An account at Chase bank has also been created, head to any Chase Bank and make donations to account #423873525.

I am really sorry for all your family is going through, and of course we are praying. Always remember that the best way to heal is to believe, have faith, and never give up. My mother (Sandra Mendoza) is a walking miracle and I hope your family can experience a beutiful miracle also. My mohter will be going to pay a little visit to him and your family and hopefully give strength to whome ever may need it. With permission from your family we would also like to know if we can give him a little gift that hopefully will help him through his healing process.
