A bizarre end to a police chase in Sacramento, as angry bees attacked suspects and officers.

A deputy in Placer County spotted a stolen truck Monday afternoon and tried to pull the driver over.

The truck kept going, speeding onto I-80 toward Sacramento. The driver reached 100 mph as more agencies got involved in the chase, then he exited the highway in the Del Paso Heights area.

After turning down a dead-end street, the driver crashes the truck into an embankment, and a beehive.

With angry bees swarming, officers take the driver and the woman in the truck with him into custody, then quickly keep everyone away from the area.

Several of the responding officers, the suspects, and FOX40’s photographer were stung by the bees. No one needed serious medical treatment.
