“You can’t sit with this, you can’t come to grips with this, it’s unexplainable,” said Bukhantsov family member Mike Kischenko.
An unexplainable act that took the lives of Alina Bukhantsov and her two young children. It’s what thousands spent the day coping with at Bethany Slavic Missionary Church in Rancho Cordova.
The mother and her two children, Emmanuela and Avenir, were found dead this week in their Rancho Cordova Home. Deputies say Alina’s 19-year-old brother-in-law murdered them, leaving behind her 6-month-old son.
“This is very hard to become accustomed to, these are the last people you think something bad will happen to,” Kischenko told FOX40.
Alina is known as the 23-year-old Sunday school teacher who came to America from Belarus.
“We came here to give people the best of the best, this is the land of opportunity,” said Florin Ciuriuc, community leader.
It’s a land of opportunity that Alina spent her life seizing. She graduated from Sacramento State with a Bachelor’s in Child Development. She was a volunteer at Sutter Memorial Hospital, and a woman of faith. But, her children, didn’t have time to seize the same opportunities she did. Their lives, were cut too short.
Alina Bukahntsov and her two children were buried together, in one casket, Saturday.
