Driving up I-80 into the Sierra was mostly clear Friday morning. A combination of CalTrans clearing the roads, and a high snow level.

At 3,000-feet, there was no snow, but as the elevation increased, so did the amount of snow on the ground.

Blue Canyon, a turn-out area along I-80, is at just above 5,300-feet elevation. Friday morning the snow continued to fall on the couple of inches already on the ground.
