Sacramento’s Office of Emergency Services is on alert because of the rainfall hitting our area.

They’re not expecting any major issues with flooding in the coming days, but they are paying attention to river and creek levels to make sure their bases are covered.

Major flooding in the past has led to improvements to infrastructure; it’s work that will probably never stop.

“Sacramento’s always in stages of trying to increase the safety from floods. It’s probably Sacramento’s number on threat,” said Steve Cantelme with Sacramento OES.
