A volunteer Salvation Army bell-ringer was injured when a chunk of sheetrock fell on her outside the JCPenney in the Roseville Galleria.

The woman was taken to the hospital Saturday, but was soon released.

The Roseville Fire Department is not sure why the sheetrock fell from the ceiling of the outside entrance to the department store, but the area saw significant rainfall Saturday.

Westfield, the parent company of the Galleria, wrote in a statement, “The damaged entrance will be closed for repair, and the rest of the Westfield Galleria remains open.”
