Meth and guns were found in a home, just a few hundred feet from an elementary school in Turlock.

Officers served a warrant Thursday afternoon, and found packaged methamphetamine, cash and a stolen shotgun.

Turlock Police Department’s Narcotics Enforcement Team had been investigating Frank Manuel Diaz for a few weeks.

Diaz’s home is very close to Cunningham Elementary along Linwood Avenue.

Diaz was arrested for possession of meth for sale, weapons charges, and detectives are seeking an enhancement on the charges because he lives within 1,000 feet of a school.

A woman, Sarah Jean Taylor, was found inside the home and also arrested.

Detectives tried to execute the warrant later in the afternoon to ensure the safety of the school’s staff and students.
