Shiloh Delta Valley Church in Stockton prides itself on their Christmas services, and its music, but they’re going to have to do without after thieves stole about $20,000 worth of equipment.

“The place was just ransacked,” said Larry Price, with the church.

Speakers, sound mixers, instruments and other pieces of audio and video equipment were stolen, racking up a $20,000 loss.

The mess left behind by the thieves earlier this month has since been cleaned up, and the church band’s gear has been replaced with second-hand instruments.

“The worship pastor was able to put something together so we can have worship on Sunday,” Price said. Which, Price added, is all the church really needs because, for them, no one can really steal their Christmas spirit.

“We’re just going to continue to go on and stay positive in the neighborhood,” said Price.
