Got $500 Million? Ad Lists Kings for Sale

It’s a “For Sale” ad like so many thousands of others on Craigslist, with a startling price, $500 million – in exchange for your princely sum – the Sacramento Kings.

The ad is clearly a joke, but the subject is deathly serious for those loyal to the purple and black. Attached to the ad, a link to the blog, ‘A Royal Pain’ that suggests along with a USA Today article that the current Kings monarchs, the Maloof brothers, have privately named an asking price of $500 million.

After months of rumors, speculation and denials about a possible cross-country move to Virginia Beach, there is even the name of a possible white knight for Sacramento fans – billionaire Ron Burkle.

FOX40 reached out to members of the Kings staff about the ad, but have not heard a response.

I really Hope we could get New Owners for the kings I feel that the Maloofs have failed and backstabed Sacramento they are not loyal to our great city they shake hands with the mayor then they back out they repeatedly say there loyal and committed to sacramento but then go to Virginia beach, Seattle and Anaheim the Maloofs still owe the city of Sacramento $77 million dollars As A Sacramento fan I feel that we should have the right to fight for our kings We just need someone like Ron Burkle who will buy the kings
