Two alleged thieves used a stroller to hide some merchandise they were trying to steal Tuesday afternoon, Sacramento County Sheriff’s say.

The two, 26-year-old Danny Williams and 31-year-old Deaire Jeffries, were said to have taken William’s baby to the CVS Pharmacy near International and Zinfandel drives and stuffed some items into the baby’s stroller.

CVS employees reported seeing the two stealing the items.

The three paid for one item and then tried to take off, but deputies got to the scene just as they were about to leave.

Deputies stopped the three and found some DVDs and alcohol, among other stuff, inside the stroller.

Williams and Jeffries were arrested and now face burglary and child endangerment charges. The baby is in protective custody.

I’ve known one of the guys for many years and this is just a shame. I don’t really expect any less. They used a baby to conceal stolen items. I could partially understand if they took diapers or formula. But they stole liquor and condoms.
