Modesto Police now say that the body found Friday night near Claus Road and Creekwood Avenue is that of Eldoris Graham, who was missing since December.

A “suspicious object” was spotted near the base of a pedestrian foot bridge by a passing person around 7:30 p.m. Friday. Police then found that the object was a dead body.

Police note that the area is secluded thanks to big shrubs and trees.

Graham’s mother reported her missing on Dec. 15. She told FOX40 that she is convinced Graham’s boyfriend murdered her daughter.

Anthony Devon Coxum, 36, was talked to by investigators. His statements to authorities have been called “inconsistent” and was said to be not forthcoming. He was arrested in North Carolina just after Christmas on unrelated charges. He has not been charged in this case at this time.

The body was identified as Graham Saturday afternoon. Investigators are still working on the case, and ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (209) 521-4636.
