Mayor Kevin Johnson and some other local leaders will be meeting Thursday afternoon to talk about the Kings.

State Senator Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg, (D) Sacramento, and Senator Ted Gaines, (R) Rocklin, will be among those present to talk about the mayor’s “Playing to Win” strategy to try and keep the Kings in Sacramento.

The meeting will be held in Steinberg’s office at the State Capitol Building.

Mayor Johnson outlined his four part plan on Tuesday, along with naming 19 investors who each pledged $1 million each toward buying the Kings. Johnson noted on Wednesday that his office was working to execute part 2 of his plan – identifying a major equity partner.
