Police investigate a shooting at La Paloma Cash & Gold in midtown Sacramento.

Sacramento Police say someone was shot in an exchange of gunfire Friday afternoon during a robbery of a pawn shop in midtown.

The shooting happened shortly after 3 p.m. at 16th Street and E Street.

Officer Doug Morse with Sacramento Police says one person was shot, but the injuries are described to be non-life-threatening.

A witness told FOX40 that the victim appeared to have been shot in the face. Police say it’s unclear if the person shot worked at the shop or was the alleged robber, but witnesses say it was a man working at the shop.

The two men that opened fire first fled the scene in a silver or grey Chevy Impala. Police say their car will likely have bullet holes in the side.
