VIDEO: Skier Lindsey Vonn Airlifted After Serious Crash

(KTLA) — American skier Lindsey Vonn was airlifted off the slopes at the Alpine Skiing World Championships in Austria on Tuesday after crashing in the women’s super-G.A report from Reuters says: “A helicopter was called to take the four-times overall World Cup champion to the hospital. The race had been delayed by fog.”

Video has surfaced of Vonn’s crash and the medical staff tending to her.

Vonn wrote a special report for the Denver Post before the start of the event, saying that weather was a factor and it could lead to the race being postponed.

She said that because of the inclement weather, it was impossible to train on the hill Monday.
