Trinchero Family Estates, a company that owns wine brands like Sutter Home, Trinity Oaks and Joel Gott Wines, is expanding their operations in Lodi.

The company is adding a processing facility in Lodi, to be built on property west of Interstate 5. Previously, grapes harvested in Lodi would be processed in St. Helena.

Trinchero’s long-term goal is to develop the site into a facility that would handle everything from crushing grapes to getting the wine ready for shipment.

About 50 Trinchero employees currently work in Lodi. The company says the expansion should bring about 400 new jobs to the area.
