Stockton Police are hoping to solve their first homicide of 2013, and released a sketch drawing of the alleged suspect.

A witness to Sunday morning’s shooting worked with Police to make this sketch. The suspect is described as a black man in his early 20’s, standing about 5’6’’ and weighing about 170lbs.

He is accused of killing 34-year-old Bryant Lee Howell. Howell was found with a gunshot wound near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Lincoln Street. He was taken to the hospital, but later died.

If you recognize the man in the sketch, call the Stockton Police Department at (209) 937-8377, the Investigations Unit at (209) 937-8323, or Crime Stoppers at (209) 946-0600. Callers can remain anonymous.

Citizens may also text information from their cell phones to ‘CRIMES’ (274637) and type the keyword TIPSPD and then their tip or logon to the Stockton Police Department’s Facebook page and click ‘Submit A Tip’.

If you have any information that may lead to an arrest in any of these cases, Crime Stoppers will pay a cash reward up to $1,000.
