Scene of the shooting Sunday.

It may have been kill or be killed for two employees of a Metro PCS store along Folsom Boulevard Sunday afternoon.

A would-be robber came in, supposedly armed.

“We have a deceased male in the back area of the store. There is a handgun at his feet,” said Sgt. Jason Ramos with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department.

One of the store employees had shot and killed that man. Police say the employees then called for help and went outside.

Both employees were detained by authorities but have since been allowed to leave. They are said to be cooperating with investigators.

Sheriff’s say they will also be investigating whether the gun used to kill the suspected robber was here legally and purchased legitimately.

No other people were inside the business at the time.

if the suspect would have killed both of the clerks, who would have gotten arrested then, nobody because he will be well on his way & still on the loose, get them before they get you, next time try not rob a store.

After reading this article it sounds like the people being robbed were the ones committing the crime. I know which handgun wasn’t there “legitimately” – the one used by the dead guy while committing a violent felony and threatening the lives of two people who actually work for a living instead of stealing from others.

Good for them. If their Senator had her way, who knows whether they are the ones who’d still be alive today.

If this happened more often maybe the thief or thiefs would have second thoughts about taking other peoples belonging!!

The police are investigating the weapon? They should be pinning a medal on these MetroPCS employees. This is why every legal citizen in California should be able to carry of firearm anywhere they want.

Now lets step a month into the future: 1, MetroPCS is going to terminate these two by the weekend. 2. Metro PCS and the now two former employees will be sued by this POS's family. 3, The DA office will find that the firearm used to legally defend ones self and business was being carried inside Sacramento City Limits without a permit, charges pending.
