Sacramento, apparently, isn’t all that miserable any more, according to Forbes Magazine.

The River City had been included on the magazine’s annual “Most Miserable Cities” list in years past, but was absent for the 2013 list.

Only three California cities did make the list: Modesto, Vallejo and Stockton.

Forbes looks at factors like violent crime, foreclosures, income and property taxes and home prices. Weather and commute time are also considered.

Sports teams used to be a factor in their list, but not this year.

Detroit, Mich. is the most miserable city in the United States, according to Forbes.
