Police in Woodland say a fight early Sunday morning at a bar led to someone intentionally getting run over by a car.

Officers showed up near Third Street and Lincoln Avenue around 2 a.m. after getting a call about someone getting run over by a car. Police determined that several people were involved in a fight earlier at the Stag bar.

After running away from the bar, the group met up with a friend and former classmate, 22-year-old Ernesto Arellano.

As they were walking along Lincoln Avenue, police say a silver car struck Arellano and sent him flying onto the sidewalk, while the car sped off southbound on Third Street.

The group recognized the man in the car as someone from the fight at Stag, police say.

Arellano was taken to the UC Davis Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are now looking for a Hispanic man who is about six feet tall and 150 pounds with short dark hair. He was reportedly wearing a light grey button-up shirt with a white tank top and suspenders underneath.

Anyone with information is asked to call Woodland Police at (530) 661-7800.
