Police say that a person called them Monday night to report that they had been pulled over by a police impersonator.
The incident happened along Pell Drive around just before 10 p.m.
Reportedly, the victim was driving along the street when a white Ford Crown Victoria with a small red and blue light pulled behind.
The police impersonators managed to make the victim pull over, making the person get out. However, once the impersonators started laughing, the victim realized they weren’t really police officers.
So, the victim got back in and took off.
Police say they have found the car matching the description of the victim gave and have identified the driver. However, police have not been able to find the victim.
The investigation is still on-going.
