Man Leaving Check Cashing Store Robbed of Wallet and Pants

A 64-year-old man leaving a check cashing store was assaulted robbed by two young men on bicycles late Monday afternoon.

Police report that the suspects confronted the man outside store, near E Hammer Lane and Kathleen Drive, around 5:35 p.m.

Pulling out a knife, one of the suspects demanded money the man, only to punch him several times in the head. The man then fell to the ground.

While on the man was on the ground, the suspects proceeded with the robbery – taking the man’s wallet and pants. They then fled the scene.

One of the men was wearing a red jacket with a white stripe on a sleeve.
