To Sacramento, Seattle’s Ticket-Buying Pledge Sounds Familiar

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, Sacramento should be pretty flattered. When that imitation comes from Chris Hansen in Seattle, the man trying to buy the Sacramento Kings, not so much.

“We don’t want to be flattered, we want to flatten them,” said founder of Here We Buy, Carmichael Dave.

At, there’s a countdown clock ticking down to season ticket sale pledges to the NBA to show the Emerald City’s support to bring basketball back.

Sound familiar? It should.

“First thing that popped into my head was, ‘Where’s my check, Hansen?’ We spent a lot of time thinking this thing up,” Carmichael Dave told FOX40.

The language is perhaps uncomfortable similar to that on Sacramento’s Launched in January, the grassroots site has racked up over 23 million in pledged ticket sales to show off as evidence to the NBA Board of Governors.

“It’s a nod to what we did here. we didn’t invent the ticket drive, but many of the same issues and comments are similar to what we did with here we buy,” he said.
