Police Taze Man as he Flees Crash Near Placer High School

Smith, K.AUBURN, CA –

Police tazed a man near Placer High School after he crashed into a fence and ran away.

Just before midnight on Thursday, Auburn Police attempted to pull over a driver that failed to stop at an intersection. The driver, 56-year-old Keith Smith, led police on a chase before he crashed his car into a chain link fence and tried to flee.

Police chased Smith and eventually tazed him in order to take him into custody. He was booked for multiple charges including driving on a suspended license and being under the influence of drugs.
