A Natomas mother is looking for changes in how the district’s bus drivers handle pick up and drop off after her autistic son was left at the wrong school.

Gina Velez-Balay says she was notified earlier this week that her 6-year-old son Trystan was safe, but dropped off at a school 2 miles from where he should have been.

Natomas Unified School District officials say the driver was new to the route. The district say it’s working to make sure procedures already on the books are being followed and seeing if new procedures are needed.
