A holy day catholic Kings fans prayed would be triumphant, gathering at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, the same day the mayor met with the NBA, all in good faith to keep the Kings.

“If it does happen that there will be a downtown stadium, downtown arena, be really great because I could just walk to the games, right?”  Father Blaise Berg said, as parishioners laughed. His homily and part of the petitions centered on the Kings.

Father Berg, sees the purple pilgrimage making their way to the church as well.

“God-willing. Maybe it will also bring folks more to the Cathedral and come more to mass. And that’s all a good thing,” he said during his Homily. “God-wiling, we keep them. That’s certainly something that we hope and pray for.

“Pray for our mayor, contingent in New York City. That it’d be successful. All according to God’s will, We pray to the Lord. Lord hear our prayer.”

Until those prayers are answered, the flicker of hope will continue to burn.
