Innocent Bystander Victim of Shots Fired

Family Dispute Turns Violent, Leads to StandoffSACRAMENTO –

There was a rash of shootings in Sacramento late Wednesday night.

Police responded to shots fired on 46th Avenue near Franklin Boulevard where one person was taken to the hospital.

Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputies say the man taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound was an innocent bystander.

He was said to be in surgery early Thursday morning.

There was also another 9-1-1 call for help less than a mile away on 50th Avenue near 47th Street.

It brought police to the scene of another shooting. No suspects were found, but multiple bullet casings were.

Sources say two people from the scene were rushed to the hospital.
