State Franchise Tax Board Extends Income Tax Deadline One Day

The State of California Franchise Tax Board has extended their personal income tax deadline to Tuesday, April 16.

A message posted at the bottom of the agency’s website says they have gotten a “high volume” of visits.

“We are currently experiencing a high volume of visits to our website. California provides an automatic extension until October 15 to file. If you need to make a personal income tax payment, you may pay by April 16 using Web Pay and your payment will be considered timely,” the statement reads.

April 15 is the deadline to file your income tax forms.
