As the FBI continues their investigation in the deadly Boston Marathon bombings, another call for any video or photographs taken by onlookers near the site was once again made by officials Tuesday.

“I would encourage you to bring forward anything. You might not think it’s significant, but it might have some value to this investigation,” Colonel Timothy Alben, superintendent of the Massachusetts State Police, said at a press briefing.

A photograph that appears to be garnering a lot of the attention is an image of a conspicuous man lurking on a roof top at the exact moments both blasts went off near the finish line.

The mystery man was first pointed out by several users on Twitter, launching several rumors and conspiracy theories as to who he is and what he was doing on the roof.

The two explosions now believed to be bombs, killed 3 people while leaving 17 in critical condition and at least 145 injured.

When asked about the now-viral photograph of the man on the roof, Richard DesLauriers, the special agent in charge of the FBI’s Boston Division, acknowledged the photo but did not give further details on it.

“We are processing a lot of digital photograph evidence right now as several speakers said today,” DesLauriers said Tuesday. “We encourage the continued submission of any photographic evidence that can lead to value but I can’t comment on specific tips or leads right now.”

While the mystery around the photograph continues, authorities say they are interviewing several people but at this time still do not have any suspects.
