All breeds and dog owners were welcome to Neighborhood Dog Days Sunday.

The the non-profit organization provided veterinary care and vaccinations for low income dog owners at Riverbank Elementary School in West Sacramento.

The organization will be holding free clinics once a month for the next several months.

“We know there are a lot of negative stereotypes about Pit Bulls” said organization founder, Jean Rabinowitz. “That’s why we’re encouraging Pit Bull owners to bring their dogs to get vaccinated.”

The next Neighborhood Dog Days is happening June 2. For more information, click here.
