A barn burned to the ground Tuesday afternoon in Sacramento County.

Embers from the fire blew onto the roofs of two homes, but they were spared thanks to firefighters.

The owner of the property on which the barn stood told FOX40 that the barn, on Elk Grove-Florin Road, had some valuables inside.

Firefighters say the blaze started as a grass fire that spread to the barn. Investigators don’t know how it started.
