Roseville Police say this bike was stolen from a girl who was about to use it in a national BMX championship race.

A 12-year-old girl competing in a BMX national championship race this weekend is hoping that her stolen bike will be returned to her by Wednesday night, when she leaves for the competition.

Roseville Police say the bike, among other things, was stolen out of a locked SUV along East Colonial Parkway between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

The bike is described as a Haro Prosize BMX racing bike with black forks, purple hubs and rainbow spokes.

Police say a different bike has been donated to the girl so she’ll still be able to compete. The family isn’t looking for money or anything, just for the more familiar bike back.

Anyone with information about where the bike might be is asked to call Roseville Police at (916) 774-5000 ext. 1.
