Man Arrested after Throwing Bike at Dad, Stealing the Family Car

A man was arrested after a reported assault at the 6600 block of 21st Street at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.

According to Sacramento Police, Eduardo Ramos, 20, broke windows and threw a bicycle at his father, who reported the incident to dispatch, before fleeing the scene in the family vehicle.

The vehicle was later spotted by officers being driven by Ramos nearby 28th Street and Fruitridge Road. After an attempt to stop the car near 47th Avenue and Franklin Boulevard was unsuccessful, Ramos was apprehended after a brief vehicle pursuit, which ended close to 50th Avenue and 23rd Street after the officers used the PIT maneuver.

Ramos was arrested for vandalism, vehicle theft and felony vehicle evading.
